In 1938 Motyčky became a part of the larger hydro-energy system on the Starohorský Stream. There are some noteworthy historical monument in the village: a Jesuit Baroque church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary from 1754; original wooden houses and houses built in brick, located in the church's vicinity.
